Gottfried Lindauer's New Zealand: The Māori Portraits honoured at MAPDA

16 May 2017

We are thrilled to announce that Gottfried Lindauer's New Zealand: The Māori Portraits edited by Ngahiraka Mason and Zara Stanhope has won best in show for a major exhibition catalogue at MAPDA (Museums Australasia Multimedia & Publication Design Awards). The judges had this to say about the collaboration between Neil Pardington (Base Two) and Auckland University Press in association with Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki:

The perfect catalogue. Exceptional production quality and well considered stock. Great scale and proportion. Beautifully reproduced photography. The design is highly respectful of the images and shows integrity and sensitivity in dealing with the subject matter.

Well-earned recognition for Neil Pardington and our own book designer, Katrina Duncan!
